Blackheart Collective Milwaukee

Blackheart Collective is a knit and crochet group aimed toward alternative crafters, either men or women – though that’s not all! We intend to teach, improve existing skills, and ultimately donate finished items to organizations throughout the Milwaukee area.

The group is in its’ infancy currently, and in my own experience of donating items to a Green Bay church it is incredibly fulfilling. I hope to set up a meeting space in Milwaukee for monthly meetings, and will be in contact with local non-profit organizations to foster relationships and ultimately donate finished items to them. We will also utilize in-person meeting times in order to teach new skills for projects.

Specifically, I am looking to donate items to organizations that serve women, domestic abuse victims, former offenders, the elderly and handicapped, and those living with mental illnesses. More than anything, I just want Blackheart’s members to have fun, and to learn something. Ideally, I see a group of people who are not only getting together to help others, but who can gain a few new friends, as well.
